When Andrew and I first hung out, I dove head first into a heavily chlorinated motel pool in Texas. I woke up to lime green hair (I’m not kidding).

I will forever live in a world where I’ll be the first one in the water. Regardless of how my body looks.
I will be the first to come up for air, screaming with joy.
I will radiate the same joy as I slip into shorts – regardless if I went up or down a size.
And as a result, by watching me live, I’ll be the first to one day teach our daughter that the jiggle of her thighs, or the dimples and lines don’t and won’t matter.
What matters in life, is knowing when you lay in bed at night – you lived a da worth adding to your memory bank.
You laughed a deep belly laugh.
Your should was filled with pure bliss.
You loved – yourself and others to the fullest and deepest.
This summer, don’t sit on the sidelines of life.
Jump in the water.
Wear the suit, the tank, the shorts, the dress.
Wake up each day and remember to fully live.
Diving into water is my favourite way to feel alive. What’s yours?
